It’s very difficult to reach to a destination without knowing where we are going. Vague and fuzzy goals do not get us anywhere. At my company, Mompreneurs Middle East
. We teach entrepreneurship to mom entrepreneurs and I often get asked whether business plans are actually important or not. They take a lot of time to create and often, we don’t end up following the plan exactly and the financial projections are nothing but a guess.
A business plan is important not just for the end result, but the thought process that goes into writing it. It makes us sit down and consider all the options for creating that business. The same process needs to be done for our own lives, you need to create a “Life Plan”.
One of the reasons we write Resolutions every year is to be clear about our goals. This is another exercise that some people ignore, because they believe that resolutions do not get achieved. The reason we don’t achieve our resolutions is a different topic that I promise to write more about, but in a nutshell, it is because we do not write SMART goals and we haven’t developed a “No Matter What” mindset. Resolutions Do work when we do them properly and the first step is to be Clear about them, to have that Clarity.
If there is anything in your life that bothers you, or if you want to achieve a new goal in your life, the single most important step is to have Clarity on how that ideal version looks? How does it feel? What are the colors? Be as clear and vivid as possible.
Your Ideal Day exercise will help you to get into the habit of having Clarity in what you want to achieve. Download the exercise Here and repeat it for any goal in your life.
